COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements for travel to the United States

Effective November 8, 2021 new rules apply for travelers entering the United States.

  1. These rules do NOT apply to US citizens and green card holders.
  2. All travelers except for US citizens and green card holders must be fully vaccinated to enter the United States.
  3. List of acceptable vaccines:
    1. Pfizer-BioNTech
    2. Moderna
    3. Janssen/Johnson & Johnson (Single Dose)
    4. AstraZeneca
    5. Covishield
    6. BIBP/Sinopharm
    7. Sinovac
  4. The following travelers are not subject to these rules:
    1. Children under the age of 18
    2. Travelers who cannot get vaccinated due to medical reasons
    3. Citizens from countries where vaccines are not easily available
    4. Diplomats
    5. Military personnel and their spouses and children
    6. Crew members
    7. Travelers granted NIE waivers or Humanitarian and Emergency exceptions.
  5. There are no exceptions for religious reasons.
